Wasps

Wasps are one of the most aggressive pests a homeowner must tackle. Wasps come in thousands of species, but they are easily split into two basic categories: solitary and social. Solitary wasps are non-threatening and shouldn’t cause you or your family any concern. Social wasps, the variety that live in colonies and build nests, are a different story. These wasps are easily agitated, supremely protective of their home, and will use their stingers for defense.

Wasps, unlike bees, have no barb on their stinger and can therefore subject a person to multiple stings. Persons with wasp allergies or anyone who is unsure of their allergy status should not attempt any do-it-yourself wasp removal.
