Spiders
Spiders are not insects, but arachnids. They have two body parts—a head and an abdomen—and a total of eight legs. Unlike insects, spiders do not have an antennae or wings. A majority of spiders do not hurt people, and they are useful because they eat other anthropods and insects. Spiders kill their prey with their lethal venom, although most spiders’ venom is not considered ‘poisonous’ to humans.
Spiders usually live in dry, dark, sheltered areas that are rarely disturbed. A spider doesn’t seek to bite humans; it typically only bites if it has been provoked or disturbed. If you’ve been bitten by a spider, take care of it immediately; however, most people do not experience death.
