Cockroaches
Cockroaches adjust well to changing environments, making them one of the oldest groups of insects around. They feed on most anything that is of organic matter, and they thrive in moist, warm climates. Cockroaches prefer dark areas that are secluded, and they spend the nights looking for water and food. If you do see a cockroach in the daytime, it’s possible there is a large population of them nearby.
Cockroaches live for about a year. They possess emergent behavior; feed on human and animal food; and can leave behind an unpleasant odor. The American cockroach can live up to 3 or 4 months with no nutrition, making them a highly resilient insect. Once there is an infestation in the home, homeowners must take aggressive action.
